Welcome to the web site of the Economics Department of the University of Quebec at Montreal, a center for research on economics and its place in society!
Our faculty members hold doctorates from the world's top economics programs and publish regularly in the top journals in the field. We have a young and dynamic department, and have hired over a dozen new members in the last three years.
We provide a stimulating environment for discussion and debate. Our staff and students work actively for the advancement of knowledge in their fields of research. With their rigorous training based on a problem-solving approach, our graduates go on to important careers in the private sector, civil service, and academia. We offer programs at the undergraduate, Masters and PhD levels and also offer courses in a number of other programs in the School of Management and in other faculties on campus.
